Chongqing Book Center, the city's largest privately-run bookstore and also the first 24-hour business center was in operation in the underground section of the Maoye Department Store located in Chongqing Jiangbei District. With a total sales area of 5700 square meters, it sells 150,000 kinds of 600,000 books, focusing on high-end professional categories. There is also a more than 300-square-meter casual coffee bar for the public to rest and read books.
