Chongqing Transport - Subway

Chongqing currently has three subway lines: Line 1, 2 and 3. Line 1 opened July 28, 2011 and Line 3 opened September 29, 2011. All three lines operate from 6:30 to 22:30. Ticket fares are based on distance; the fare for a 1-3 station trip is 2 RMB, 4-6 stations costs 3 RMB, 6-10 stations is 4 RMB, 10-14 stations costs 5 RMB and 14-18 stations is 8 RMB.

Stations along Line 1: Xiaoshizi (小什字) - Jiaochangkou (较场口) – Qixingang (七星岗) – Lianglukou (两路口) – E'Ling (鹅岭) - Daping (大坪) – Shiyoulu (石油路) – Xietaizi (歇台子) - Shiqiaopu (石桥铺) –Gaomiaocun (高庙村) – Majiayan (马家岩) - Xiaolongkan (小龙坎) – Shapingba (沙坪坝)

Stations along Line 2: Xinshancun (新山村) - Jiaochangkou (较场口) - Xinshancun (新山村) – Dadukou (大渡口) – Ping'an (平安) – Mawangchang (马王场) - Dayancun (大堰村) - Dongwuyuan (动物园) – Yangjiaping (杨家坪) - Xiejialong (谢家湾) - Yuanjiagang (袁家岗) - Daping (大坪) – Feituguan (佛图关) - Lizba (李子坝) - Niujiaotuo (牛角沱) – Mojiayan (曾家岩) – Daxigou (大溪沟) – Huanghuayuan (黄花园) - Linjiangmen (临江门) - Jiaochangkou (较场口)

Stations along Line 3: Jiangbeijichang (江北机场) – Bijin (碧津) - Shuanglong (双龙) – Huixing (回兴) – Changfu Lu (长福路) – Cuiyun (翠云) – Yuanboyuan (园博园) – Yuanyang (鸳鸯) – Jintong Lu (金童路) – Jinyu (金渝) – Tongjiayuanzi (童家院子) – Longmaishi (龙头寺) – Chongqing North Station (重庆北站) – Shiziping (狮子坪) – Tangjiayuanzi (唐家院子) – Jiazhou Lu (嘉州路) – Guanyinqiao (观音桥) – Huaxin Jie (华新街) – Niujiaotuo (牛角) – Lianglukou (两路口) -  Nanping (南坪) – Sigongli ( 四公里) – Wugongli ( 五公里) – Liugongli (六公里) – Ertang (二塘)

Section 2 of Line 1 (from Shapingba to Daxuecheng) will be 20 km long and is scheduled to open in 2012. Line 6 is in the planning stages.
