Long Distance Bus
The road network in and around Chongqing has grown hugely in recent years ensuring that travel into and out of the city by bus is a viable option for visitors on a budget: around a thousand long-distance buses are said to leave the city every day. For example, Chengdu is only 5 hours away by coach with a ticket-price of just 110 RMB.

The roads which converge on Chongqing include Chengdu-Chongqing, Chongqing-Fuling, Chongqing-Hechuan, Chongqing-Guiyang, Chongqing-Wanzhou, Chongqing-Nanchuan, Chongqing-Guizhou, Chongqing-Dachuan, Chongqing-Suining and Guangan-Chongqing and Chongqing-Fuling-Xiushan.

The largest long-distance bus station in Chongqing is located in Caiyunba on the northern edge of the Yangtze River.  The second largest station is the West Bus Station which can be found at the end of the Chengyu Expressway at Chenjiaping.
