Chongqing Snacks

With Chongqing’s food & beverage industry thriving, “snack streets”, or areas where restaurants and snack vendors proliferate, are gradually forming without government urging or intervention. The areas around Jiefangbei (locally called Jiefangbei Central Business Area), Nanbin Road, and Bayi Street teem with stalls and eateries. Many local specialties like tea-smoked duck, dry-stewed fish, chicken with spring water, and Dan Dan spicy noodles are worth a taste, but only if you have an adventurous palate and an affinity for dangerously hot food!
