Chongqing Begins Building China’s Third Largest Flower Port

On March 20th, construction of the Chongqing (international) Flower Port began in Shuangqiao District. This will be the third largest flower port in China, after Beijing and Shanghai. According to reports, Chongqing flower port will cover an area of 5,600 mu (one mu =0.0667 hectares), and has attracted a total investment of 1.5 billion RMB. Over 1,000 varieties of flowers are expected to be on display. The whole project will be completed by the end of 2013.
