Chinese rockers P.K.14 release their sixth studio album this September and they want you to rock out with them when they perform new songs from their album “1984” at T:Union in Guangzhou on September 14.
P.K.14 are one of the best known indie acts in China and their sound has been compared to the likes of Talking Heads, Sonic Youth, The Pixies, Fugazi and New York Dolls. In 2008, Time named them one of “5 Asian acts to watch”. Formed in 1997 in Nanjing and now based in Beijing, the bands heavy and dark sounds are accessible to a wide audience despite all of the band’s lyrics being in Mandarin.
