The UK and announced that starting on January 11, two year multiple entry visas will be available for Chinese visiting the UK.
BBC reported that The UK’s Home Office stated that the new visas will be a better value and allow more flexibility for Chinese visiting Britain. The visa will apply to Chinese looking to visit the UK for tourism, business or investment and will cost £85 each.
In 2015, the British Embassy in China issued 484,000 visas for Chinese traveling to the UK, an increase of 22% from the previous year.

The truth is no one except a handful of third world countries wants to sign visa-free travel agreements with China, so they have created these "special" visas that allow them to keep cherry picking which Chinese have the right to travel.
