China's Largest Maritime Museum Opens in Shanghai

China Maritime Museum, the biggest martime museum in China, will officially open in Shanghai on July 5th. The museum is situated at Lingang New City in Shanghai. The venue is built on a land measuring 25,000 square meters and has a total floor area of 46,000 square meters. The most noticeable part of the building are two mast-like structures measuring 70 meters in height. The museum has a total display area of 21,000 square meters and there are three floors for different exhibitions at the venue. 

The first floor showcases exhibits about maritime history in China, different ships and ocean vessels, information about sailors and the fishing industry in China. The second floor of the venue showcased exhibits about maritime matters and sea ports, Chinese marines, and information about recreational maritime sports and activities. There is also a space and astrology exhibition hall, a 4D theater and a children's activity center at the museum.
