England’s Mark Selby beat out China’s Ding Junhui 18-14 to claim the title at the Snooker World Championships yesterday. Selby won the World Championship title in 2014, and will take home a 330,000 Yuan prize.

The match was Ding’s first time in the championship finals. He was hoping to become the first Asian player to win the world title.

He did great. Just found himself looking down the barrel after losing the first 6 frames to a rampant Selby. To get so close thereafter was a gutsy effort. Ding's a goodun who'll hopefully get another chance at the ultimate prize some other day.
