China’s 5th Largest Terminal Opens at Changsha Huanghua International Airport

On July 19th, T2 Terminal officially opened at Changsha Huanghua International Airport. Construction of the terminal began on June 16th, 2009, and was completed on April 30th, 2011. The new terminal is five times larger than the old one and is able to handle 3940 passengers per hour. Covering an area of 210,000 square metres, it currently ranks as the fifth largest in the nation, only after Beijing Capital Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, Shanghai Pudong Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport.
