Demand for plastic surgery in China has grown 30 percent per year, according to a recent report by German media. Chinese Association of Cosmetic Surgery predicts that China will become the third largest country for plastic surgery in the world.

In 2014, 56,000 Chinese traveled to South Korea for plastic surgery. However, the number of accidents and disputes from plastic surgery procedures in South Korea has increased from 10 percent to 15 percent this year.

Deputy Secretary General of the Chinese Association of Cosmetic Surgery Du Yan said that in recent years, the Chinese plastic surgery industry has developed rapidly. It is expected that in 2019, China’s cosmetic surgery industry will be worth 800 billion Yuan, and will surpass the United States and Brazil.
