As planned, Chengdu Metro Line 1 will be put into trial operation by the end of September. Line 1 test operation time ranges from 07:00 to 21:00, with 10 minutes interval time between trains, Chengdu Railway Company stated on Sept. 23rd. A two-way line will open from Shijicheng station and Shengxianhu station respectively and the train interval time will be shortened during peak hours.
Chengdu Metro Line 1 is using the time-line ticket system. Fares range from 2 RMB to 4 RMB. Passengers can stay for a maximum of two hours after paying in the station area. During the trial operation, passengers can enjoy 10 % discount on fares when using the "Tianfu Pass" card.
