Chengdu Becomes Nation’s Fourth Most Frequented Aviation Hub

From January to August, passenger throughput of Chengdu Shuangliu Airport reached 19.1704 million and cargo throughput reached 298,500 tons, making Chengdu the fourth most frequented aviation hub in China. The top three are Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. Chengdu’s total passenger throughout for 2011 is expected to reach 30 million.
