Changsha's place as the capital of Hunan Province has ensured its significance as a transport hub, reached easily by road, rail and air. There is also limited transport by water in and out of the city.
Most of the transport in the city of Changsha relies on the taxi and bus services, though visitors can hire bicycles or flag down a pedi-cab to experience a little local flavor.
