Changsha Subway Line 2 Completed October 2013; Line 3, 4 to Follow

Changsha Subway Line 2 (Phase I) will be completed in October 2013. It cost 12.06 billion RMB, covers a length of 22.26 km and has 19 stations. Changsha Subway Line 1 is scheduled to be completed in 2014. It cost 14.2 billion RMB, covers a length of 23.55 km and has 20 stations. According to the government’s plan, six other subway lines, including the Phase I of Subway Lines 3, 4, 5, 6, as well as the west extension of Subway Line 2 and the north extension of Subway Line 1 are set to break ground within “the twelfth five-year plan”.
