From July 1 onwards, a new high-speed train will connect Changsha South to Shanghai Hongqiao, Nanjing South and Jinan South Station. The new high-speed route, G580 from Changsha to Nanjing, will depart at 17:08 and arrive at Nanjing South at 22:28, cutting travel time down to 5 hours and 20 minutes.
The G578/5 train to Shanghai Hongqiao departs from Changsha South at 13:29 and arrives in Shanghai 6 hours and 42 minutes later at 20:11. Meanwhile, the G252 to Jinan South departs from Changsha South at 15:50and arrives in Jinan 22:57 – a new journey time of 7 hours and 7 minutes.
