The first Foreign Friend Games will kick off on May 30 in Changchun, with the aim of enriching the daily lives of foreigners in the city, and to mobilize their enthusiasm for work and study.
According to requests by foreigners, the Games will include badminton, table tennis, tennis, football and basketball matches. According to preliminary statistics, 400 to 450 players will participate in the games. Contestants include managers, experts and technicians of foreign-funded enterprises, leaders of foreign government organizations and representative officers, as well as foreign students and teachers of universities in Changchun. Currently more than 320 people have entered the competition. The registration deadline is May 15.
