With the departing of the bullet train “Harmany’ D5011 from Changchun Railway Station, Changcun-Jilin (Jilin City of Jilin Province) Intercity Railway went into operation officially on January 11th, making it the first high-speed train passenger line in all of northeast China. With a total length of 111 km, the railway will have 16 lines of bullet trains with an average interval of 50 minutes. The opening of the Changchun-Jilin Intercity Railway will reduce the travel time between the two cites from about 1.5 hours to 29 minutes.
