According to the plan, Changchun City plans from 2010-2016 to build lines 1 and 2 of the subway, with a total length of 39 km. The estimated investment for the project is 22.0 billion. The Metro Line 1 is a key north-south rail transit line and is expected to open in 2015. Metro Line 2 is a key east-west rail transit line and is expected to open in 2016.
