On Jan. 12th the “2009 China Mount Changbai International Snow Cultural Tour Festival” began and Asian largest natural snow ski park—Changbaishan International Natural Ski Park was open to visitors.
The ski park is located in the west side of Mount Changbai, it opened in December of 2007. It is the 1st and only ski park which uses the natural snow in China and the largest natural ski park in Asia. It opens every winter.
There are 5 ski runs at Mount Changbai Natural Ski Park and the longest one is 7km, the longest of its kind compared to others in China. The park will open from January until May each year. The Snow Cultural Tour Festival will continue to May including various activities such as rime watching, skiing, snow sculptures and so on.
