Caterpillar, a world leading construction equipment manufacturer, has built a technical support and rebuilding center in Chengdu, capital of Southwest China's Sichuan Province.

The project costs a total investment of 25 million U.S. dollars by ECI-Metro Investment Co., Ltd., one of the five Caterpillar dealers in China.

Upon completion, it will become a capital settlement center for ECI-Metro in nine provinces and cities of western China, and a technical support and rebuilding center for Caterpillar.

As a rebuilding center, it will mainly produce machine parts developed by Caterpillar and provide maintenance, sales and technical services.

When completed in a year, the center is expected to create an annual output value of RMB 1.2 billion, with tax contribution of RMB 50 million.
