On June 11 at 07:26 an explosion occurred in the staff cafeteria of an office building belonging to a gas company in Suzhou, killing 11 people and injuring nine. The blast, which was caused by a gas leak according to preliminary investigations, caused the 400 square meter building to collapse shortly afterwards. Three people remain in serious condition in hospital.
