British rock band Third Cortez will perform at 13 Club in Tianjin on October 17. Third Cortez formed in Manchester, then spent six months in a Brooklyn basement, writing and recording with other artists on the New York DIY scene. Their return to London—bringing with them a bigger, more ambitious sound—began with a residency at the historic Troubadour Club that lasted throughout 2011. During this time the boys also moved into a warehouse in Limehouse, East London, complete with a self-built recording studio. That's where they recorded and produced their own debut EP, The Flipside. Come join singer Jack Buckett and his band mates in Tianjin this October.
