According to a Weibo post by “@Caloriem”, a brawl broke out between a foreign couple and four middle-aged Chinese women on flight number PN6216 from Xishuangbanna to Kunming on November 4.
According to the netizen, a middle-aged female passenger threw a cup of water onto a female foreign national in the seat in front of her, who then retaliated by pulling the Chinese woman’s hair, sparking a fight between the passengers. Three middle-aged female friends of the woman who threw the cup then joined in. The foreign woman’s male companion, who was sat next to her, then decided to join in, presumably to make it a fairer fight. The scuffle resulted in the delay of the flight.
The airline later confirmed that a brawl had taken place and the reason for the outbreak was an argument about the overhead luggage compartment, which as many of us know are highly sought after on flights in China.
The four middle-aged women who started the brawl have since paid the foreign couple 300 RMB in compensation.

Funny why some of those alleged foreign guys talk smack about Chinese but at the same time married to some Chinese women, why do you marry them in the first place? In general I don't think interracial marriages are easy to handle.

Typical of Chinese fights, all their friends join in 3 to 1, I don't know why Chinese can't just fight for themselves, I'm surprised the flight wasn't delayed whilst they waited for her to call ALL her other friends to rush to the airport.

It's lions vs. hyenas. Even if I lose, I'd still be proud to be the lion in that fight. I'd take on the whole plane, and I wouldn't care if I won or lost. Who cares if you lose of save face? It's your backbone that makes you moral!

This is why, unless it's just 100% impossible, you take the train.

I was supposed to recieve 5,000 RMB a couple of years ago, Phil, after I fought two guys whose girlfriend picked up my son, out of the blue, and without asking first. Sad thing is, they paid just 1,000 on the day, and my ex-wife never bothered chasing up the rest. Another reason for the divorce, that was. WHy I would question this article is that the compensation was a mere 300RMB. I mean, that's an insult!

you divorced the mother of your son over 700 yuan, is that correct?!

Math > you. 5000 - 1000 = 4000 yuan. Also, reading comprehension > you. "ANOTHER reason for the divorce..."

Thank you Cooter. There were many reasons for the divorce. It just so happened that, the fact my ex-wife didn't have the will to chase up this exemplified why I felt she didn't support me in ways. That being said, this was a very small reason. The big reason was more the people in this country that we have to deal with. Example being the ones who touched my son's face.

How I wish I could punch a few of those creepy chinese in the face who think my half-foreign son is a petting zoo attraction. That said, my wife is actually the one who gets mad at me for not being more careful who I give my son to hold. People normally go for his hand without asking, which causes us no end of hygiene concerns. I understand completely why it was the last straw when strangers pick him up and touch his face without even asking. I hope you sicced them good, in the name of all multicultural families who must endure these careless mongoloid eejits groping our kids. On a sidenote: None of my business of course, but you do contribute to your son's future in some way, I hope? Divorce is one thing, but never completely abandon the kid!

I honestly ask, is there anything worse in China than "middle-aged Chinese women"??

The problem doesn't stem from passengers bringing too much carry-on baggage, the problem is the airlines not enforcing the rules regarding carry-on limits in the first place.

It was bound to happen. I am sick and tired of flying in China and having the overhead bins hogged by people with way too much carry-on baggage (bags of gifts, fruit, booze, mooncakes, whatever). Not only do these rude travelers hog the bins over their own seats, they hog the bins over other seat rows as well - infuriating. ONE carry-on bag, people!!

Yes! You must fight and get physical in China. The guy was probably thinking, "Finally i have a reason to destroy annoying middle aged Chinese woman, that lack all decorum"
