French choir, La Cigale de Lyon, will perform at the Chongqing Grand Theatre on July 17. The choir is conducted by Anne-Marie Cabut and was founded in 1947. La Cigale de Lyon is a member of the International Association of French Choral Music and the International Choral Union (IFCM). The chorus performed for Charles de Gaulle in 1963 and has won numerous awards including first place in the French International Choral Competition (1973) and second in the Italian International Choral Competition (1991).
