The Blue House Art Center was built on the site of Lotus Lake in Sansheng County. All the construction fees for the new Blue & House came from the artists themselves and the costs eventually reached 11,000,000 RMB. Now that the new Blue & House Art Center has finally been completed, the artists have moved in. The new site contains a small art museum open to the public and fifteen artist studios. It will be open to visitors on Jan. 12th, 2009 and an additional 30 artist studios will be open as well. From Jan. 12th to 16th, the Blue House Art Center Museum will hold a welcoming exhibition.
