Beijing’s Subway Line 10 Breaks Down 5 Times in October
Oct 24, 2013 By eChinacities.com

It has been anything but smooth sailing for Beijing subway’s line 10 recently, with five malfunctions disrupting the line so far in October. The latest malfunction occurred during morning rush hour on October 24 when a signal failure caused major delays and overcrowding at busy stations like Taiyanggong, Shaoyaoju and Zhichun Lu. A similar malfunction occurred on October 23 at 20:35.

Beijing Subway responded to the malfunctions by stating that the signal failures were related to the recent circular expansion of line 10 and that ensuring a stable signal currently poses a major challenge. However, this explanation failed to appease China’s opinionated netizens.
