According to news from the Ministry of Transport of Lianing province on January 19, construction on the Beijing to Shenyang high-speed rail is expected to start in 2011 and to be completed by 2015. After the Beijing to Shenyang high-speed rail is built, the travel time between Shenyang and Beijing will be cut from 4 hours to 2 hours and 17 minutes.
