Beijing is getting a Universal Studios!
Construction on the sixth branch of the theme park will begin in Tongzhou District this year and a tentative completion date has been set for 2019.
The theme park will cover 2.02 million square meters of land in Tongzhou and is expected to attract up to 50 billion RMB in investments.
According to the district’s tourism authorities, the park will be designed to include Chinese elements to appeal to foreign tourists.

More western influence for a country that apparently doesn't want it. And what "Chinese elements" will it include? Crap food, putrid toilets? Who are they trying to fool?

Adding chinese elements...piece of cake....re-enact the MacDonald's murder in an AQI 500+ theater equiped with state of the 'art' fake high tech, truly environmental friendly air-cond. system that operates without electricity whatsoever, while guaranteeing availability of the famous Beijing Air, opium-laced popcorn and gutter oil fried chips. Now THAT's authentic, china-unique elements, not to mention the crowds.
