Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei Have 7 of Top 10 Worst Polluted Cities in China

At the recent ‘Two Sessions of the National People’s Congress’ held in Beijing, Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection, Wu Xiaoqing, made a grave announcement for China’s North East region.

He reported that in 2013 the area consisting of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei contribute 7 of the 10 cities in China with the worst air quality. Furthermore, of China’s major cities, 74 fell within the WHO’s limits of clean air, most found in the nations South West area, while 71 cities did not fall within those limits, with most of these cities found in the East and North East of Mainland China.
