On September 17th, Beijing police announced they had succeeded in cracking four organised prostitution rings, detaining 112 suspected criminals (including 27 foreign prostitutes).

Public reporting and early investigations indicated the gangs solicited customers by distributing flyers near high-end establishments. After 20 days of investigating and collecting evidence, the police concluded that four men nicknamed "Xiao Jun", "Da Bo", "Zheng Ge" and "Bao Ge" led four separate prostitution rings, with a total of 45 key members.

Police revealed the gangs would typically arrange staff to distribute flyers near hotels or restaurants, using calls or text messages to send prostitutes to clients’ hotels. The case, which involves the highest single number of foreign arrests in Beijing, is currently still under investigation.
