Beijing Dance Theatre, an internationally renowned contemporary ballet company, will premiere its newest piece "Wild Grass" on September 1 at the Suzhou Culture Arts Center. The three-part performance derives its name from Lu Xun's collection of prose poems Wild Grass (野草), specifically the three essays Dead Fire ( 死火), The Shadow's Leave-Taking (影的告別), and Dance of Extremity (极地之舞). Beijing Dance Theatre is the top contemporary dance troop in China and has toured in Germany, Iceland, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain and more.
