“Beijing Besieged by Waste” Documentary Screened in Beijing on Mar 20

China’s economic development has given rise to a whole host of concerns regarding the environment, which is what documentary film “Beijing Besieged by Waste” looks at. The film will be screened at Beijing’s Zajia Lab on March 20. Director Wang Jiulang looks at the many effects of recent environmental issues in the Chinese capital by turning focus on all the garbage that has been dumped in various spots around the city. Wang depicts the issues facing many rural residents who are heavily affected by China’s recent urbanization.
