"Band of Travelers” and Friends Perform Benefit Concert in Chongqing on July 21

Zhou Yun Peng (周云蓬), Xiao He (小河), Wu Tun (吴吞) and Band of Travelers (旅行者乐队) will perform at the Chongqing Kaidi Performing Arts Center (重庆凯帝演艺中心) on July 21 in a benefit concert to help those struggling with eye diseases in poor regions. Zhou Yun Peng is a blind singer and poet who received the 2011 People’s Literature Prize for Poetry for his album “Niu Yang Xia Shan牛羊下山.” Xiao He, or He Guofeng, is also an important figure in Chinese folk music and is known for his creativity; Wu Tun is known as the lead singer of the underground band Shetou (舌头);Band of Travelers is a world music and folk group inspired by the music of Western nomadic regions and a festival favorite throughout China.
