The Marriage of Figaro (Le nozze di Figaro) will be staged at Hefei Grand Theatre by Russian Kremlin Ballet Troup on Jan. 15th. The Marriage of Figaro is set in Count Almaviva's castle in Seville in the late 18th Century. It is an opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, with Italian libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, and is based on a stage comedy by Pierre Beaumarchais, La folle journée, ou le Mariage de Figaro (1784). The Marriage of Figaro was performed at Vienna National Theatre for the first time on May 1st, 1786.
