Apple Pay will officially launch in China in the morning on February 18. The service will open at approximately 5:00 am, according to Guangdong Development Bank and China Construction Banks’ official WeChats.

Apple Pay will partner up with 15 Chinese banks including Guangdong Development Bank, China Construction Bank, Bank of China, ICBC, and Agricultural Bank of China. Customers will be able to download the Apple Pay app to the smart phone and add their bank cards to the payment system.

Samsung Pay has also announced that it plans to enter the Chinese market. More than a dozen major banks have supported that they will work with both Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.

China is the first country in Asia to support Apple Pay, and the fifth nation globally. Currently Apple Pay is supported in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.
