All of Chengdu's Big Parks Hot During National Day

From October 1-3, Chengdu’s main events will take place at Tazishan Park, People’s Park, Sports Center of Jinjiu District, Nanjiao Park and Xinhua Park. This year’s park events will carry the theme of “Praise the motherland, eulogize Sichuan, wish Cengdu well”. The live performances will include Sichuan opera, ethnic singing and dancing as well as other art and cultural events. Other activities include tribal embroidery, Sichuan embroidery, and other intangible culture heritage shows, folk artisan paper cutting, sugar paintings, as well as interesting sports competitions and charades activities.

During the national day holidays, a number of parks including Culture Park, Baihuatan Park and Wangjianglou Park will have flower exhibitions, photo exhibitions, community art shows etc. All these parks will be free of charge. Huanhuaxi Park, Ludan Park, Supo Park, Jinniu Park, Jiulidi Park, Jiang’anhe Park, Cujin Park, Beihu Park, Shuanggui Park, Gaoxin Sports Park will all open free of charge. Meanwhile, Wuhouci, Du Fu’s Thatched Cottage, Jinsha Site as well as other museums will host all sorts of events and will be open as usual. This also includes entertainment sites such as Happy Valley, the zoo, Botanical Garden and the Panda Breeding and Research Center. On October 1st, the Jinsha Site Museum, Tazishan Park, People’s Park, Sports Center of Jinniu District, Nanjiao Park and Xinhua Park will adapt a free and non-free admission pattern, inviting representatives from all around the world and the public to participate in the park events.
