All Males Banned from Girls’ School Dormitories to Prevent Sexual Assault
Sep 27, 2013 By eChinacities.com

On September 24, the Education Department, the Public Security Bureau, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the National Women’s Federation together published the “Report for Safe Prevention Against Sexual Assault on Minors in the Workplace”. Among the content was protection provided for elementary and middle school students against school workers.

A new rule brought up by the report states: all female dormitories are to be effectively locked-down. Aside from staff personnel directly responsible for the supervision and management of the dormitory, all male persons including teachers and parents are forbidden from entering a female dormitory. Additionally, teachers that impart a bad influence upon students through insulting them and having a poor moral standing and job performance may have their qualifications repealed by county-level or higher government organizations.
