Air Pollution in One Fifth of China's Cities is Very Severe

On September 5th, a spokesperson with the Ministry of Environmental Protection stated that air pollution in one fifth of China's cities is very severe; of the 113 major cities, one third is found to have quality of air that is below acceptable standards. Emissions from vehicles have become a major source of air pollution for middle to large cities in China.
