From the 1st to the 15th of lunar January, Spring Festival Temple Fair will be on in Song Dynasty Town. The most important ceremonial part is the "lashing of the spring ox". You can only whip three times, the first whipping is to pray for good weather, the second whipping is to pray for stability and prosperity, and the third whipping is to pray for a rich harvest. That is the ancients’ original belief and also to remind people to hurry up for spring plowing when the winter is over.
