Chongqing now has toilets in certain busy commercial and tourist areas that are designated as gender-neutral. The city's decision has nothing to do with supporting those with a gender-neutral gender identity, but it is an accidental bonus for many in Chongqing. The bathrooms were actually created becaue of overcrowded lady's rooms and empty men's rooms. Parents would also complain that it was difficult to use crowded woman's rooms with small children in tow. The gender-neutral bathrooms are single compartment, and state of the art. Hopefully this will make peeing at a crowded tourist site just a little bit less nightmarish!

There's a reason for "crowded ladies rooms and the empty men's rooms". Because ladies do everything else in bathrooms except peeing.

So now instead of peeing, I should wait in line while a bunch of girls are putting on their make-up and hoarding the toilet? Worse idea ever.
