Around 15:00 on August 28th, a fire broke out at the Property Sales Center in Wanda Plaza in Shenyang’s Tiexi District. The incident left nine dead and nine injured. The victims were mostly young saleswomen. The Tiexi District Wanda Plaza had opened for business on August 20th; the fire occurred just eight days after the grand opening.
