Panlong River, the “mother river” of Kunming, runs through the city from south to north. Because it once received a large amount of sewage and wastewater from the local industrial sites, Panlong River has been under re-development for the past three years. As part of the project, 44 parks have been built along the Panlong River, making it a more pleasant area for locals to enjoy.
