How many foreigners work in Hangzhou? According to a source from the Foreign Employment Services Department of the Hangzhou Municipal Bureau of Exit-Entry Administration where a foreigner can apply for a work permit, “At present, nearly 3,000 foreigners have received a work permit in Hangzhou.”
It was reported that most foreigners working in Hangzhou hold high positions, are highly educated, and have high salaries. Of the foreign workers with undergraduate degrees or above, more than half of them work at middle or senior management levels. Most of the foreign workers are employed by Chinese institutions, mainly in the administrative, marketing, production or finance fields.

This is interesting. Thank you for posting this article. Wondering if anyone has more up to date/recent figures on the number of expats residing in/working in Hangzhou.
