2015 Holiday Schedule Announced

The powers that be have released the holiday schedule for next year including the two big holidays, Spring Festival and the October holiday. Holidays in China can sometimes seem tricky as they are based on the lunar calendar, and thus are subject to change every year.

The holidays for 2015 are as follows:

New Year
Holiday:January 1-3 (Thursday-Saturday)
Work Days: January 4 (Sunday)

Spring Festival
Holiday: February 18-24
Work Days: February 15 (Sunday); February 28 (Saturday)

Tomb Sweeping Festival
Holiday: April 4-6 (Saturday-Monday)

May Day
Holiday: May 1-3 (Friday-Sunday)

Dragon Boat Festival
Holiday: June 20-22 (Saturday-Monday)

Mid-Autumn Festival
Holiday: Falls on a Sunday; normal weekend hours

National Holiday
Holiday:October 1-7 (Thursday-Wednesday)
Work Days: October 10 (Saturday)
