The 2014 Shenzhen Open is scheduled to be held from December 28 until January 4 at the Shenzhen Longgang District Sports Center. The Shenzhen Open will be one of the first events held as part of the WTA 2014 circuit and will have a grand prize worth 500,000 USD. Expected to take part in the competitions are internationally-ranked number three seed Li Na, Italian competitor and number six ranked Sara Errani, Russian athlete Vera Zvonareva and other top-tier female competitors.
