Foreign runners can now sign up for the Beijing Marathon after registration opened up on Sunday. The full marathon will have spaces for up to 26,000 competitors and the half marathon will be open to 4,000.
The marathon is scheduled for October 19 2014. The race will start at Tiananmen Square and finish at Olympic forest park.
