The 2012 Dragon Boat Carnival Races kick off at Qinhuai River in Nanjing on June 22. The races are one of the most anticipated traditional events in Nanjing, attracting huge crowds of spectators each year. What sets these races apart from others is that anyone can get a team together and participate. There’ll also be lots of traditional performances, zongzi to feast on and more.
Getting there: take bus No. 9, 20, 21, 43, 60, 91, 132, 149, 152, 303, 317 or 818 to Qingliangshan stop
