2011 Xi’an Temple Fair Kicks Off on January 26

According to reports, the 2011 Xi’an temple fair, City Walls Lantern Festival and Chengdu International Lantern Festival will be held from January 26 through February 27. It will be located between Xiaonan Gate and Heping Gate of the City Wall. Not only will visitors be able to experience folk art performances from Shaanxi and Sichuan, they will also have the chance to appreciate the world famous lantern displays that cover Xian’s city walls. Visitors will also be able to check out the Chengdu’s International Panda Lantern Festival, sample exquisite food from Chengdu, watch superb cultural performances, and join in some interactive games, in addition to many other activities.
