The 2011 Sudirman Cup World Mixed Team Badminton Championships will be held in Qingdao from May 22nd to 29th at the Qingdao Sports Center. A total of 12 teams divided into four groups will battle it out to see who will be crowned this year’s champion.
The groups are divided as follows: China, Japan and Germany are in Group A; Indonesia, Malaysia and Russia in Group B; Chinese Taipei, Thailand and India in Group C; and Denmark, South Korea and England in the so called “group of death”, Group D.
The number of competitors in the group is greater than the number of places in the next phase of the tournament. Thus, in the group phase, one or more of the competitors will be eliminated. Let the fierce competition begin!
